More Great Finds in 2005
No
one was more surprised than expert Howard Roloff when he was given this
18th century Eastern Woodlands Feather box. The box’s owner told
Howard that it had belonged to her grandfather and that someone had brought
papers to his office in the box. Howard informed the guest that the box
was, in fact, meant to hold eagle feathers and was both extremely rare
and valuable. In fact, he said, the box was a “national treasure.”
Just
how much of a treasure? Howard valued the box at between $40,000 and 50,000!
