Q & A
C.T.
of Mississauga, Ontario writes: Unfortunately,
the stamp on the plate's bottom is very difficult to discern, even when
looked at closely. Any of your time will be greatly appreciated. Identified by its typical colouring and plentiful applications of fish, worms, frogs and even lobsters this 19th century copy of a 17th century production is becoming quite sought after today. I don't think the frog croaking when it fills up is anything more than an over fertile imagination I am afraid. The Value today is $100-$200 at auction.
