Louis XV tableJ.M. of Ottawa, Ontario, Alberta writes:

The attached pictures are of either a Louis XIV or XV writing desk. It's dimensions are: wide: 85 cm high: 85 cm deep: 50 cm It has been in our family for years so we do not know very much about it's provenance. Can you give us an approximate value?

Based on the photos received, this is a Continental Table Circa 1850-1870 done in the Louis XV Style. From the photo, it appears to be made of mahogany with boxwood inlay and oak is the secondary wood. It is valued at $4,500-$5,000.
