This bed was given to me by my mother and I cannot seem to find out if it’s English and of what period.....can you help me?

This furniture is North American and of superb quality. It would have been produced in the last quarter of the 19th century along with wash stands, dressing tables, wardrobes and bedside cabinets. It must have been a very impressive suite of furniture when it was all assembled and should be insured for $6000.
