Lindsay
Anderson
A professional antiques dealer for three decades, Lindsay has a special
interest in early Western Canadian ethnic furnishings and folk art, factory-made
furniture circa 1900 and vintage guitars. He has supplied artifacts to
the National Museum, the Western Development Museum and the Motherwell
Homestead Museum, and has conducted appraisals for institutions and individuals.

Baker
Peter specializes in rural Canadian furniture and accessories with a particular
interest in 18th and 19th century Quebec items. Peter enjoys restoration
work and he has a strong technical knowledge of construction techniques,
original colours and preservation. He runs a shop in Athelston, Quebec.

Baker
Heather
has been dealing in tin toys since she was three! (She grew up in a family
of collectors.) A member of the Canadian Toy Collectors Society, Heather
has been in business for thirty years and specializes in toys and nostalgia
from the 1890’s onwards. She owns the successful store Baker’s
Dozen in Vancouver.

Jeri
Bass
Jeri came to Canada from the Southern United States in 1971. A bookseller
for twenty-four years, Jeri is also a graduate of the Personal Property
Appraisers Guild course and has participated in numerous appraisal clinics
on the West Coast. She is the secretary of the Antiquarian Booksellers
Association of Canada.
Rosemary
Beckett
Rosemary opened her first antique shop in 1970 and since then has developed
and led an adult education on Antiques and Collectibles and participated
in many antique shows and evaluation days around the Maritimes. Rosemary
is a regular guest on CBC Radio’s Maritime Noon phone-in show on
the topic of antiques.
Brian
Bell
Brian is the owner of The Coin Cabinet in Saint John and Moncton. His
area of expertise is in Canadian, World and American coinage, paper currency,
sports memorabilia and cards and famous signatures.
Geoffrey
Bell
Geoffrey is a Past President of both the Canadian Numismatic Association
and the Canadian Paper Money Society. He is a lifelong collector and researcher
of paper money, medals and tokens, sports memorabilia and ephemera. He
once owned the Coin Cabinet in Moncton, NB, a shop currently serving the

Bent
Jessica is the president of MJR Fine period Jewels. She earned her degree
in Fine and Decorative Arts from Sotheby’s Institute of Art in London
and is currently working on her Gemologists Certificate from the Gemological
Institute of America. She is regular contributor to Canadian Jeweller,
Canada’s leading trade magazine.
Pat
Boone
Pat is a life long doll collector with over 2200 dolls in her collection.
A member of the United Federation of Doll Collectors, Pat has a special
interest in Canadian dolls. Pat is also interested in toys, games and
teddy bears. Pat is an internationally known doll sculptor and has often
led workshops on doll collecting.
Michael
Brandt
Michael has over 40 years in the antique business. He has been buying
and selling furniture, china, glass and collectables since 1977. He has
a special interest in antique toys and Christmas items. Michael has done
numerous appraisal days for the McIntosh Gallery in London and has been
writing a column called ‘Buried Treasure’ for the London Free
Press since 1998.

Brayley
Bill Brayley is the owner and general manager of Crowther & Brayley Ltd.,
a firm providing appraisal and auction services in Halifax and Nova Scotia.
He is a charter member and past secretary of the Canadian Association
of Personal Property Appraisers with approximately 27 years experience
in the field.
David
Brown
David has been collecting antiques since his 20s and is particularly passionate
about silver. He opened his first store in 1980 before relocating to the
Montreal Antiques Centre in May 2005. His specialties include formal English
furniture, porcelain, silver, prints and accessories. He has been a member
of the Canadian Antique Dealers Association for 22 years.
Hugh
Bulmer
Hugh has been an auctioneer and appraiser for over twenty years, both
in England and now in Vancouver. His areas of expertise include English
furniture, porcelain, scientific instruments, Oriental ceramics and ivories,
and European sculpture. Hugh is the Vice President of Maynards Fine Arts
Auctioneers in Vancouver.
Darrell
Butler
Darrell has been the head curator of Kings
Landing in Fredericton, New Brunswick for over thirty years and has studied
antiques at the University of Delaware/H.F.DuPont Winterthur Museum in
Delaware. Butler is eminently qualified to appraise and discuss items
dating from the Loyalists to the late Victorians including furniture,
textiles, ceramics, tools, folk art and art.

Campbell
Bill Campbell began his life-long love affair with sports memorabilia
when he was just 7. He’s been collecting and studying the trends
for close to 40 years and has recently begun doing appraisal work with
Lelands, an American-based sports company. He is particularly adept at
authenticating sports autographs.
Pamela
Campbell
Pamela
holds a Masters Degree from the Victoria & Albert Museum, London,
England specializing in the decorative arts and a Bachelor of Arts Degree
(Honours) from Queen's University, Kingston, Ontario, majoring in Art
History. Pam was previously the Specialist and Director of Decorative
Arts and Head of Appraisals at Sotheby's Canada and produced the international
decorative arts auctions in Canada. During Pam's ten-year tenure at Sotheby's
she was also Head of Special Events which included an outreach program
of appraisal and fund raising projects for public galleries and museums
across Canada. Early in her career she did curatorial work at the Decorative
Arts wing of The Art Gallery of Ontario and a term at the Royal Ontario
Museum.

is a past member of the Board of the Volunteer Committee of the George
R. Gardiner Museum of Ceramic Art, Toronto and a past Secretary of the
Canadian Antique Dealers Association.
Janet
Carlile
Janet has been an independent antiques evaluator for many years, beginning
her career with Sotheby’s. She has lectured about antiques extensively
in the U.K. and Germany and from 1994-99 she hosted the BBC Radio program
“The A-Z of Antiques”. Janet has a special interest in 18th,
19th and 20th century glass, pottery and porcelain as well as silver and
furniture.
Lee
Caswell
Lee Caswell has been an antique dealer in his hometown of Port Hope Ontario
for the past 20 years. He sells primarily eighteenth and early nineteenth
century antiques consisting of brass, glass, silver, pottery, porcelain
and formal furniture of this period. Lee is the current President of the
Canadian Antiques Dealers Association (CADA) and has opened a quality
multi-dealer shop, which he is co-managing next to the Historic Capitol
Theatre in downtown Port Hope, called Antiques on Queen.
Lee
has a keen interest in Historic Architecture and is the past President
of the Architectural Conservancy of Ontario, Port Hope Branch. He is currently
restoring a Georgian-Victorian Cottage in the Historic district called
Englishtown in uptown Port Hope.

Clarke
Leonard began his career in the antiques trade in Ireland in the 1950s
and has continued in the business since immigrating to Canada in 1976.
He is a member of the Silver Society, the Northern Ceramic Circle and
the English Ceramic Circle. Leonard owns and operates Pacific Antiques
in Victoria.
Arthur
Clausen
A founding member of both the Institute of Canadian Certified Auctioneers
and the Auctioneer Association of Canada, Arthur has been a licensed auctioneer
since 1970 and owns Clausen and Sons Auctioneers in Edmonton.. He has
done appraisals for numerous agencies including Revenue Canada, Queens
Bench, University of Alberta as well as provincial museums in Alberta
and Saskatchewan. Arthur has a personal interest in British silver, 18th
and 19th century furniture and Victorian glass.
Kevin
Colgan
A generalist with a wide range of knowledge including silver, porcelain,
furniture, and paintings, Kevin has 30 years of experience in the antiques
business. He spent a decade doing on-air appraisals for CBC Radio in Montreal
and Ottawa and headed the Montreal operation of Phillips as both principle
auctioneer and General Manager as well as writing their catalogue descriptions
for many years. Kevin has also been called upon to give valuations as
an an expert witness in court.
Gregory
Connor
A member of the Canadian Antique Dealer’s Association (CADA) and
the Furniture History Society, Greg has operated a store in Stratford
for over 20 years. Greg has participated in CADA shows for the past decade,
both as a dealer and as part of the vetting committee. His area of expertise
is furniture, but considers himself to be a capable generalist.
John
Cooper
Although his training is in the fields of Biology and genetics, John has
been involved in the antiques business for four decades. Primarily interested
in silver, ceramics, glass and original art, John has taught courses on
antique identification at the University of Manitoba, University of Winnipeg
and the Winnipeg School Division. John owns Abbey Antiques and Art in
Winnipeg.
Charles
Cripps
Charles was a member of the International Society of Appraisers and a
certified appraiser of personal Property. A former member of the Royal
Canadian Mounted Police, Charles had been appraising antiques, collectibles,
silver and porcelain for over three decades. He ran Townsend Antiques
and Appraisals in Edmonton and died at age 79 on February 15, 2008, following
a brief critical illness. He will be sorely missed.
Roger
Crowther
Roger’s life-long interest in silver began at the heels of his father,
an antiques dealer, in Halifax, Yorkshire, England. By a strange twist
of fate, Roger ended up in Halifax, Nova Scotia and discovered that there
was silver to be purchased and he began collecting. A former Literature
professor, Roger has given talks and informal lectures on Ecclesiastical
Silver and has bought and sold a number of finds through Christie’s
and Sotheby’s.
