Toronto, Ontario

May 18, 2004 at The Barbara Frum Atrium,
CBC Broadcast Center

Toronto is Canada’s largest city. It’s also home to the world’s tallest building (the CN Tower at 553.33 m) and the world’s longest street (Yonge Street is 1896 km long). Toronto is the birth place of well known entertainers including Mike Myers, Peter Jennings, and Mary Pickford.

With a population of close to two and a half million people (double that in Greater Toronto), Toronto is known as one of the most multicultural cities in the world and is also ranked as one of the safest.

The Canadian Antiques Roadshow set up shop at the Canadian Broadcasting Centre. The showpiece of the Broadcasting Centre is the Barbara Frum Atrium. Named in honour of one of Canada's most celebrated and respected journalists, the spectacular atrium covers 10,000 square feet and extends 10 stories high.

The incredible setting for the show was overshadowed only by the wonderful items people brought for appraisal.
